These terms set out the agreement between you and Bloom Chapters. They are written in plain English on purpose. Last updated August 2026.
Trader and business information is at the bottom of this page, under Business information.
Bloom Chapters does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Information within the app is educational and informational only and should not replace advice from healthcare professionals. This applies to everything in the app, including pregnancy guidance, newborn guidance, feeding logs, sleep tracking, allergy information and developmental information.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Bloom Chapters you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
If you are using Bloom Chapters on behalf of a family, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms for that family account.
2. What Bloom Chapters is
Bloom Chapters is a family organiser and information service covering pregnancy through secondary school. It includes a planner, child profiles, stage-based guidance hubs, activity ideas, checklists, a document store, downloadable packs, a nursery and school finder, a support hub and recommendation listings.
It provides educational and organisational information only. It is a tool to help you keep track of family life. It is not a medical service, a childcare service, a safeguarding service or a source of legal or financial advice.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 or over to create an account. Accounts are for adults: parents, guardians and the adult caregivers they invite.
You must provide accurate information when you register and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
4. Family accounts
A family account is the container for your information. It holds your child profiles, planner, documents and saved items, and it is owned by the adult who created it.
Data belongs to the family rather than to one person, so that a household can share it. The owner may transfer ownership to another adult member.
5. Shared access
You may invite other adults — a partner, a grandparent, a childminder — and give each of them a role: owner, parent, partner, grandparent, caregiver or viewer. The role decides what they can see and change.
Only invite people you trust with your children's information. You can change a role or remove someone at any time, and removal takes effect immediately.
Anyone you invite must follow these terms. If they do not, you may remove them, and we may suspend their access.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree to use Bloom Chapters lawfully and reasonably. In particular, you agree not to:
- upload content you do not have the right to share;
- upload information about a child you are not responsible for or authorised to record;
- use the app to harass, harm or impersonate anyone;
- attempt to access another family's information;
- copy, scrape, resell or redistribute our content or downloadable packs;
- interfere with the security or operation of the service.
7. Child profiles
Child profiles are records you create, not accounts. Children do not sign in and cannot be contacted through the app.
By adding a child profile you confirm you are that child's parent or guardian, or that you have their parent or guardian's permission. You decide what to record and what to leave out — nothing beyond a name and stage is required.
You can edit or delete a child profile at any time. We handle child information under the commitments set out in our Privacy Policy.
8. Content you add
Notes, logs, photographs, documents and checklist entries remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them.
You give us permission to store, process and display that content for the purpose of running the service for you and the family members you have authorised. We do not use it to train AI models, and we do not publish it.
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you add. We may remove content that breaches these terms.
9. Our intellectual property
The Bloom Chapters name, branding, stage names (Seedlings, Roots, Sprouts, Saplings, Branches and Blooms), written guidance, designs, illustrations and software are owned by Bloom Chapters and protected by copyright and trade mark law.
You may use them within the app for your own family's purposes. You may not copy, adapt, resell or republish them.
10. Printables and downloadable content
Printables are not sold individually. Every account receives the free printable selection, and a Premium membership unlocks the Premium printable library. Premium is currently the only paid purchase on Bloom Chapters.
Printables are licensed to you for personal use within your own family. Print as many copies as your household needs.
You may not resell them, share the files publicly, upload them to file-sharing or resource-selling sites, use them commercially, or distribute them across a nursery, school or class without a separate licence.
Free printables stay available for as long as your account is open. Premium printables are available while your Premium membership is active; cancelling returns you to the free selection but does not affect copies you have already downloaded or printed.
11. AI-generated guidance
Bloom AI produces responses automatically. Its answers are generated, may be incomplete or wrong, and are not reviewed by a person before you see them.
Treat them as a starting point, never as professional advice. Do not rely on Bloom AI for medical, safeguarding, legal, financial or emergency decisions.
Do not enter information you would not want processed by an automated system, and always check anything important against an official source such as the NHS or GOV.UK.
12. Third-party links
The app links to external sites, including NHS and GOV.UK pages, nurseries, schools and local activity providers.
We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. Their terms apply once you leave Bloom Chapters.
13. Recommendations and sponsored listings
Some product and service recommendations are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy after clicking. Some local listings are paid placements by the business concerned.
Commission never changes what you pay. We label these placements, and a commercial arrangement does not buy a recommendation we do not stand behind.
A purchase from a third party is a contract between you and that seller, not with us. Their terms, delivery and returns policies apply.
14. Free and premium features
Free features — creating a family account and child profiles, the planner, checklists, stage hubs, activity ideas, the nursery and school finder, the support hub, the document store, shared family access, and a set of free downloadable packs. Bloom AI is included with a monthly allowance of free questions.
Premium features — the full library of downloadable packs and curated activity bundles, premium guides, expanded Bloom AI use, and premium-only content as it is added.
Features included in each tier may change as the app develops. We will not remove a significant paid feature during a period you have already paid for without offering a fair alternative.
15. Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions renew every month on the date you subscribed, until cancelled.
Annual subscriptions renew every twelve months, at a lower effective monthly rate, until cancelled.
Trial periods — we do not currently offer a free trial. If we introduce one we will tell you its length and end date before you start, and it will convert into a paid subscription at the end unless you cancel first.
Renewal is automatic. The price and billing date are shown before you subscribe and are always visible in your account, where you can cancel at any time.
Cancellation — you can cancel at any time, from your account settings, with no cancellation fee and no need to contact us. You keep premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for, then move to the free tier. Your data is not deleted when a subscription ends.
Price changes — we may change prices. Existing subscribers will be given at least 30 days' notice by email before a change takes effect, and can cancel before it applies. A price change never applies to a period already paid for.
16. Cancellations and refunds
Premium membership is the only paid purchase on Bloom Chapters. Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to change your mind about a digital service. Because premium access begins immediately, you are asked to agree to that immediate supply when you subscribe, which means the 14-day right does not apply to the part of the service you have already used, including printables you have already downloaded.
We would rather be fair than technical. If you subscribe by mistake, or you have not used your premium access, contact us within 14 days and we will refund you.
We do not give partial refunds for time remaining after a mid-period cancellation, because access continues to the end of that period.
If something we sold you is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
17. App Store and Google Play subscriptions (future)
When Bloom Chapters is released as an iOS or Android app, subscriptions bought inside those apps will be billed by Apple or Google rather than by us.
Where that applies, cancellation and refunds are handled through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings under their policies, not ours, and we cannot cancel or refund those subscriptions on your behalf. Your premium features in Bloom Chapters will be the same however you subscribed.
18. Suspending an account
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, puts other people at risk, or is used to redistribute our paid content.
Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of it.
19. Deleting your account
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. If you are the owner of a family with other members, you will be asked either to pass ownership to another adult or to confirm deletion of the whole family account.
Deletion is immediate and permanent — your personal records are removed straight away and there is no grace period or recovery window. Full detail, including what is kept and why, is in the Privacy Policy.
20. Limits of our responsibility
We work hard to keep Bloom Chapters accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and information may occasionally be out of date.
We are not liable for decisions made in reliance on information in the app, including any health, childcare, education, funding or purchasing decision. Always check important matters with the relevant professional or official body.
We are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
21. Changes to the service and these terms
Bloom Chapters will change over time as features are added and improved. We may update these terms to reflect that, or to meet legal requirements.
For a significant change we will give reasonable notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel and delete your account.
22. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.
If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your own local courts. Bloom Chapters is designed for families in the United Kingdom.
23. Contact
Questions about these terms, a subscription, a refund or anything else reach us through the contact form, which goes straight to our support inbox. We answer within five working days.
